Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme

The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme was launched in 2018 to provide financial assistance to farmers across India. The scheme aims to support small and marginal farmers by providing them with direct income support of Rs. 6,000 per year. The scheme is implemented by the Department of Agriculture, Cooperation & Farmers Welfare, Government of India. Under this scheme, eligible farmers receive the benefit in three equal installments of Rs. 2,000 each.

The 13th installment of PM-Kisan is expected to be released soon, and it is good news for farmers who are eagerly waiting for the installment. The installment is expected to benefit over 9.5 crore farmers across the country.

The government has already disbursed 12 installments under the scheme, and the total amount disbursed to farmers is around Rs. 1.25 lakh crore. The 13th installment will further boost the income of farmers and help them to cope with the ongoing pandemic.

To receive the benefit of the PM-Kisan scheme, farmers need to fulfill certain eligibility criteria. The scheme is applicable to all farmers, irrespective of the size of their landholding. The eligibility criteria for the scheme are as follows:

The applicant must be a citizen of India.

The applicant should be a farmer or belong to a farmer family.

The applicant should have a valid Aadhaar number.

The applicant should have a bank account.

Once the eligibility criteria are met, farmers can apply for the scheme through the official website of PM-Kisan. The application process is simple and can be completed online. Once the application is processed and approved, farmers will receive the benefit in their bank account.

In conclusion, the PM-Kisan scheme has been a boon for farmers, providing them with direct income support and helping them to cope with the challenges of farming. The 13th installment of the scheme will further support the farmers and help them to overcome the financial difficulties they face. The government's efforts to support the farming community are commendable, and it is essential to continue such initiatives to ensure the welfare of the farming community.
